Collaborating with Woodpecker
We love packages and we especially love the ones that include samples! Our friend Ryan at Woodpecker sent us a designer's kit to use on our flooring projects and I am in love! Woodpecker flooring is not only beautiful, they are a family-run business, and are also FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forests) certified. These certifications are dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management.
Woodpecker has multiple flooring types including: Solid Hardwood, Engineered Wood, Bamboo, and LVP flooring.
The have a wide range of colors ranging from faire whites to rich chocolates. Their grading (or grain) comes in three types: select, rustic, and extra rustic. There are also seven beautiful finishes to choose from.
Each type has a unique performance and aesthetic. Picking out the right type of flooring for you and your family doesn't have to be difficult. Woodpecker has multiple resources on their site to help with your selection or you can always ask yours truly (AKA me)!
My favorite may be the Berkeley Grey Oak (but there's so many options), I absolutely adore light flooring. Although I'm not sure I would say that I am a "rustic person", the Berkley features extra rustic grading and an oiled finish.
This engineered wood flooring has beautiful large knots and dark fillers. I love the contrast between the light wood and amazing dark accents.
Let's Talk about this Cocoa Oak! I do love my light colors, but if I had to choose a dark flooring it would definitely be a color resembling chocolate.
This rich flooring is in the Chepstow collection. The collection features both light and dark colors with a rustic grade and an oiled finish.
I won't keep you too much longer, but we have to talk about this parquet flooring! This is a part of the Goodrich collection and is perfect for herringbone and chevron patterns. It features rustic grading, and a brushed and matte urethane finish. This collection includes 18 colors ranging from cool whites and warm naturals to rich espresso's. This engineered collection is definitely a showstopper and brings a unique look to wood flooring.
Alright, I'll wrap things up. In short, Woodpecker's flooring is stunning, versatile, and sustainable. I cannot wait to use them in future projects and hopefully my own home (if Tyler will every let me rip out all of this carpet)! If you have any questions regarding flooring (or anything interiors really) send me an email or give me a call! The pups and I would love to help you figure out the best flooring solution for your home and we'd love to support my friends over at Woodpecker!
